About the Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery
Located within the umbrella of Glasgow University, the Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery is the oldest of its kind pleasing to the eye and open for public in Scotland. Formed in 1807, it has existed due to the generosity of. Dr. William Hunter, a celebrated anatomist and physician. Dr. Hunter willed his collections of scientific instruments, paintings, works of literature, and other items to the University and this particular museum came into existence. Art Collection
